Keystone Radiology is pleased to welcome three new radiologists to our Shepparton team
Dr’s Julian Ong, Saneej Kanhirat and Albert Eshun all started with the Keystone Group in the first half of the year, each bringing with them a wealth of experience including subspecialty fellowship training in a variety of fields.
All three radiologists reside in Shepparton, working primarily within the radiology department at Goulburn Valley Health, and will play an instrumental role in maintaining our founding intention of bringing clinical excellence, individualised patient care, and outstanding customer service to regional Victoria.
A brief biography of each is provided below:
Dr Julian Ong joined the Keystone Radiology team in January 2020.
Dr Ong graduated medicine at the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, before continuing on with his radiology training at various hospitals throughout Malaysia and subsequently being awarded FRCR with the Royal College of Radiogists (UK) in 2014.
Julian and his family relocated to Australia in 2016, completing a Fellowship in MRI at the John Hunter Hospital (NSW) and Fellowship in Body Imaging at the Calvary Mater Hospital (NSW) before joining the Keystone team.
Dr Kanhirat joined the Keystone Radiology team in early March after relocating to Australia with his family from India.
Dr Kanhirat graduated his MBBS at Govt Medical College in Kerala (India), before undertaking his radiology training at the Barnard Institute of Radiology (Madras Medical College) and Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences respectively.
Upon completion of his radiology training in 2014, Saneej also spent time at the Jefferson University Philadelphia where he gained advanced fellowship training in Obstetric/ Fetal Medicine, before undertaking an additional post gradate diploma in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound at UCAM in Spain.
Dr Kanhirat has a special interest in musculoskeletal, abdominal radiology and interventional pain management.
Dr Eshun graduated in Medicine from the University of Science and Technology in Ghana in 1994, obtaining his BSc (Human Biology) and MB ChB, before subsequently completing his specialisation in Radiology at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
Upon successfully completing his radiology training, Dr Eshun moved to New Zealand where he worked for 13 years at the Northland District Health Board as a Consultant General Radiologist with special interest in neuro-imaging before relocating to Australia in March 2020. Albert and his family now call Shepparton home.
Albert has recently been appointed to the role of Deputy Clinical Director of Radiology at Goulburn Valley Health.
